Mini Detail vs. Full Detail: Which Service is Right for You?

When it comes to keeping your car clean and well-maintained, professional detailing is the best way to protect your investment. At Grant Auto Detailing, we offer two popular options: our Mini Detail and Full Detail services. But which one is right for you? In this blog, we’ll break down the key differences between these services to help you decide which best suits your needs.

Mini Detail: Quick & Effective Maintenance

Our Mini Detail service is perfect for those looking to refresh their vehicle’s appearance without committing to a full-scale deep cleaning. This service is ideal for regular maintenance and is best suited for cars that are already in relatively good condition but need a touch-up.

What’s Included in a Mini Detail?

  • Exterior Wash– A thorough snow foam pre wash followed by a hand wash.

  • Wheel & Tire Cleaning – Removal of dirt and brake dust to provide a clean and natural look.

  • Light Interior Cleaning – A full vacuuming of carpets and seats, along with a general clean of dashboards, door panels cup holders and any other hard interior surface.

  • Window and Glass Cleaning – Streak-free glass cleaning inside and out.

  • Fresh Scent Application – To leave your vehicle not only looking clean but smelling fresh as well.

Full Detail: Deep Cleaning & Restoration

For those needing a comprehensive cleaning and restoration, our Full Detail service provides an extensive interior and exterior transformation. This service is recommended for vehicles with heavy dirt buildup, stubborn stains, or if you’re preparing to sell your car.

What’s Included in a Full Detail?

  • Complete Exterior Wash, Clay Bar Treatment & Wax/Sealant – A thorough decontamination and wax protection for a showroom-quality shine.

  • Engine Bay Cleaning – Removal of built-up grease and grime under the hood (optional by request).

  • Deep Wheel & Tire Cleaning with Dressing – A full chemical decontamination of your wheels to remove imbedded contamination.

  • Full Interior Shampoo & Cleaning – Deep cleaning of carpets, seats, headlining and upholstery to remove stains and odors.

  • Leather Cleaning & Conditioning – Cleans, restores, and protects leather surfaces from wear and tear.

  • Interior Detailing – Includes steam cleaning sanitation and thorough deep cleaning

  • Window and Glass Cleaning – Streak-free glass cleaning inside and out.

  • Fresh Scent Application – To leave your vehicle not only looking clean but smelling fresh as well.

Which Service Should You Choose?

  • Choose the Mini Detail if: You want a quick refresh, your car is in fairly good condition/ new, or you get regular detailing and need maintenance between full details.

  • Choose the Full Detail if: Your car needs deep cleaning, has stains or odors, or you want to maximize its value before selling.

A General Rule of Thumb.

If you're unsure of what service you require or you haven't had the vehicle detailed within the last 12 months. We'd always suggest you choose the Full Detail. Reason being, most vehicles especially daily drivers require a full decontamination wash to prevent degradation to the paint work from the various types of environmental and industrial contamination.
